Stage one · in the womb

Watch them grow, one week at a time

Illustration of a pregnant figure drawn as nested terracotta and sage arcs, with a small curled form at the centre.

A week is a long time in there. Each one gets its own short read: what is forming, what you might feel, and what is worth asking at your next appointment. Weeks 4 through 42 are covered, and every week you pass stays readable.

Development, in plain language

Organ by organ, sense by sense, with size comparisons that aren’t only fruit. Illustrated, and quiet about the rare things until they matter.

Nutrients that move with you

Iron steps up in the second trimester, so the targets do too. Log a meal, see the gap, get food ideas — iron, folate, DHA, calcium and vitamin D, without a shop full of supplements.

Your next appointment, in context

Keep the next one beside the week it belongs to, with the provider, the place and what to bring. A reminder if you want one, so it sits inside the pregnancy rather than in a separate calendar.

A note for whoever is with you

Part of each week is written for the person alongside you rather than the person pregnant: here’s what’s happening, here’s one thing that helps.

In the app today

  • Week guides for weeks 4 – 42
  • Five developmental phases across pregnancy
  • Nutrient tracking with meal logging
  • Your next appointment, with a reminder
  • Short lessons you can read in a queue

How the stage moves

The app opens here as soon as you give it a due date, and moves itself on to the birth stage from week 36 — earlier or later if you move it yourself.

The other two stages

babybub gives general information and a place to keep your own records. It is not a medical device and it does not diagnose anything. Always ring your midwife, child health nurse or GP if something worries you.
